About six months ago Bella tied a small stuffed dog to a (large) helium balloon. I warned her not to let it near the door, but it escaped, and floated away with Benji (the dog). About once a week she asks if we'll ever see Benji again, and if we can ask to see the neighbor's stuffed animals in case he is living somewhere else. I think it is the biggest tragedy of her life so far.
