Here's a neat link about Tippi Hedren. She's Tippi Degre's namesake and fascinating in her own right. And she's Melanie Griffith's mom. And she's in The Birds. And she's kinda, well, iconic.
And because I can't stop, here's another neat one about Tippi D. and another one about Tippi H. This one about Tippi H. shows a photo of Melanie Griffith as a young girl in bed with a lion...with. a. lion.
Some things I never want to encounter are a lion, a tiger, a whale, or the middle of the ocean. I do not like large, vast things. (That's why I don't think I'm meant to read or watch The Life of Pi.) I can't stop looking at these pictures though. I just can't stop.

How did you find this child? The pictures took my breath away. I especially love the one where she's lying down facing the baby lion (?) with her fingers in its mouth. The photos are great because the animals are awe inspiring and sometimes scary but the images are peaceful and loving. Maybe in my next life I could grow up like Tippi.
